From 23rd December 2017 to 1st January 2018, Vietnam’s first five-star colonial beach resort, The Anam, will play host to a glittering roster of events including gala dinners, degustation menus and beach parties for Christmas and New Year’s Eve, as well as wine-tasting, an art exhibition and Christmas choir performances.
What better way to experience The Anam‘s very first Christmas than with one of its newly unveiled Yuletide packages, just in time for the festive season.
The jam-packed program kicks off with wine tasting at the Saigon Bar on 23rd December, followed by a Christmas tree lighting ceremony and choir-singing on the resort’s vast ocean-front lawn, during which Christmas cookies and mulled fine will be served.
On Christmas Eve, families can get crafty at the Sports Bar’s gingerbread-making class, before heading to the resort’s Santa Claus Corner. Here, Santa Claus will present children with gifts, wishing them a Merry Christmas and reading them a special festive bedtime story.
In the evening, General Manager Herbert Laubichler-Pichler and the management team will host a complimentary cocktail party, after which a four-course gala dinner, Vietnamese village-style buffet and nine-course Christmas degustation menu with wine pairings will be staged at The Indochine, Hanoi House and The Colonial restaurants respectively.
On Christmas Day, The Anam will serve a delectable Christmas breakfast with sparkling wine as Santa Claus and the Christmas choir again make their presence felt.
Christmas afternoon tea with mulled wine will be on offer at The Colonial and Saigon Bar, while a sandcastle building competition will take place on The Anam’s stunning stretch of private beach.
From the 26th – 29th December, the resort will hold the ‘Artist in Residence’ programme, during which guests can observe and talk with talented local artists as they create artwork amid the resort’s lush gardens. The artworks will be showcased at an exhibition on 29th December at Au Lac Ballroom with complimentary drinks and canapes.
For New Year’s Eve, the culinary team will prepare cupcakes at the Sports Bar from 2pm-3pm, after which little ones can try their hand at Vietnamese handicraft.
Guests will enjoy a four-course gala dinner, Vietnamese village-style buffet and nine-course degustation menu with wine pairings before ringing in 2018 at a countdown party as a DJ spins jazzy house tunes.
Bartenders will prepare freshly squeezed juices to start the year on a healthy note during a New Year’s Day buffet breakfast featuring an array of freshly baked pastries, fresh fruit, and Asian and Western breakfast starters.
Guests booking a minimum four-night stay between 22nd December 2017 and 3rd January 2018, will receive a complimentary four-course Gala dinner, one 90-minute massage per adult, daily breakfast, return airport transfers and more.
