The Winter Art & Antiques Fair Olympia is set to return for its 27th year as London’s flagship art and antiques event of the Winter season, running from 31st October to 5 November 2017, with around 100 leading dealers offering over 30,000 one-off pieces for sale.
The six-day event is expected to attract over 20,000 shoppers from the UK and internationally, all looking to buy works priced from £100 to hundreds of thousands of pounds. Collectors, interiors designers and discerning shoppers can choose from signed jewellery, artwork, furniture, ceramics, glassware, clocks, fossils, textiles, mirrors, silver and sculpture.
New exhibitors to the 2017 edition include: The Old Corkscrew from South Africa, jewellers Timewise and Precious Flora, Honorable Silver Objects (Belgium), Tom Rooth, Manning Fine Art and Burlington. Regular returnees include: Laura Bordignon, Patrick Sandberg Antiques, Howard Walwyn Ltd Fine Antique Clocks, The Parker Gallery, Babbington Fine Art, Anthea AG Antiques and Morgan Strickland Decorative Arts Ltd.
New talks for the 2017 fair range from the V&A discussing Travel in Style to the Royal Naval College Greenwich talking about their painted hall – one of the greatest Baroque interiors in Europe. Other topics cover commissioning art and collecting the un-collectables. The latter is by the Museum of East Asian Art as the fair is run alongside Asian Art in London when collectors descend on London. Independent Art Advisor, Vanessa Curry and her team will give daily highlights tours.
