This summer, Mayfair Art Weekend will open the doors to art in Mayfair, offering public access to the area’s many galleries and auction houses.
As part of an exciting programme of free talks, walks and over 60 exhibitions to see, Brown’s Hotel will offer a creative hub from which art lovers can explore Mayfair.
All Day Arty Brunch:
Throughout the weekend Brown’s Hotel will offer a one-off dining experience, an ‘All Day Arty Brunch’ at HIX Mayfair. Guests will be able to experience dishes inspired from Damien Hirst‘s and Mark Hix’s Pharmacy 2 restaurant.
Aligning with Mayfair Art Weekend’s ambition to share art with the public, HIX Mayfair will present a selection of new and established artists throughout the restaurant, in addition to Mark Hix’s collection of British artworks by Tracey Emin, Matt Collishaw, and many more.
Less is MAW Cocktail:
Brown’s Hotel will continue the art celebrations and will be calling on all cocktail lovers to The Donovan Bar to try the specially curated ‘Less is MAW’ Cocktail.
The summery gin based cocktail, is not only the perfect refreshing drink for a summer’s evening but also visually beautiful as it changes colour with every sip. Image below.
Brown’s Art Tours:
On the 1st and 2nd July, there will be a number of already established and respected Brown’s Art Tours taking place. Maeve Doyle will return to host two specially curated art tours. With more than eighteen years of experience in the art world, Maeve brings with her a wealth of knowledge which she is more than willing to share with guests.
Guests will be met by directors of four different galleries and offered a personal introduction to their current exhibitions, helping international art lovers navigate their way through the hundreds of private shows that collectively make Mayfair one of the world’s greatest art destinations. Following the final tour, guests will return to Brown’s Hotel for a three-course lunch with wine pairings at HIX Mayfair.
Guests visiting Brown’s Hotel over the MAW weekend will also be able to view a series of video sequences in the windows of Brown’s Hotel: Study for Composition VI: Framing Sensual 31 Phase Transitions by Sidsel Christensen.
