Following on from her sell-out show at the Salford Trinity Church, JESS KEMP is back and launching a new artist acoustic showcase and charity fundraiser this April.
The news comes hot on the heels of the release of Jess’s sumptuous new single ‘VondelPark’ – out now!
The incredibly proactive singer-songwriter from Manchester will curate a night of fresh acoustic talent at 1923 Irlam Station House on Wednesday 19th April 2017 with all proceeds from the night going to a worthy cause.
Upon hearing the case of Sandra Dickinson, a local woman in need in her community seeking immunotherapy treatment in Germany for her highly specialised cancer condition, Jess quick to think on her feet and immediately set about arranging this charity fundraiser.
Topping a bill with a stripped back set of her own lush songwriting, Jess Kemp will be featuring some of the finest new artists in the city including David Gorman, Olly Flavell & Addison Skye, with all proceeds being donated to the cause.
Sandra’s case, which has also attracted attention from other local celebrities including comedian Jason Manford, can be read about in full and contributed to at the official crowdfunding page at Go Fund Me: https://www.gofundme.com/386zioo
On organising the charity event, Jess commented:
“It is my absolute pleasure to be able to put on a gig which will hopefully raise a load more money for Sandra’s cause. Sandra is a lovely lady who has done her fair share of time fundraising for charities in the past and this is no exception, everyone is behind her on this. I have always been supported in my music very strongly by the community of Irlam and Cadishead and the wider community of Salford and Manchester and it’s lovely to know that as a community we can come together and help whoever needs it.”
